Severn Bridges Multi Academy Trust – Plynlimon Year 3 & 4 Rugby Cup
Short Wood Primary School proudly hosted the first ever SBMAT Plynlimon Year 3 & 4 Tag Rugby Cup, welcoming 40 enthusiastic pupils from Short Wood, Harlescott, Radbrook, Mount Pleasant, and Greenfields.
A warm, sunny afternoon in Wellington provided the perfect backdrop for a brilliant display of fast‑paced rugby. Spectators were treated to quick runs, determined defending, and plenty of exciting tries as each team gave their all.
After a series of closely contested matches, Harlescott Junior School emerged as the overall winners. Every team demonstrated impressive teamwork and sportsmanship, with the event played in the true spirit of rugby — respectful, energetic, and full of enjoyment.
A fantastic day for all involved and a great celebration of sport across the SBMAT community!
