Severn Bridges MAT launches Above and Beyond Award
Severn Bridges launched its Above and Beyond Award at its inaugural Governance Day on Friday 28th November, with Helen Jones, Chair of Haughmond Schools’ local governing board announced as its first recipient.
We chose Helen Jones Chair of Haughmond Schools as the inaugural winner of the Award. She has epitomised the Trust values of Community and Collaboration as Chair of the LGB. Helen signposted one of her current governors to join Mount Pleasant as they were low on LGB numbers. Helen also has been able to welcome Chairs from other LGBs to watch the good governance practice developed at Haughmond.
Helen champions her schools and the children in them. She wants the very best for the children of her community, and always goes above and beyond in her role. We are pleased to share the award with her on our first SBMAT Governance Day.
