A new project at Mount Pleasant caused much excitement recently as the playground received a makeover.
The children were delighted to see the new playground markings that had been added, not only brightening up the playground, but adding new games, trails and zones, all designed to blend fun, exercise and education.
Hopscotch helps children to improve their physical fitness and coordination at the same time as learning numeracy skills; while vibrant phonics designs have been added to help children with their letters and sounds. Trail markings, which develop fitness skills and encourage imagination are also included.
The bespoke designs are vibrant and fun and are already having a positive impact on breaks and playtimes at the school.
