Harlescott Junior School welcomed Julia Buckley MP to see its Bikeability course in action recently.
Year 6 children from Harlescott Junior School were delighted to welcome Julia Buckley MP to watch them take part in their Bikeability course.
Bikeability forms part of the Severn Bridges MAT’s Darwin Values Award, a key aspect of children becoming the citizens of the future.
Julia told Deputy Head Teacher Mr Pope: “Cycling is not only important for children’s health, but also helps grow their independence and confidence, as they shape into young adults. I would be thrilled to see more children taking part in this course. They can be professionally trained on how to cycle safely, helping them develop the essential cycling skills and road safety awareness that they need to know.”
