Andrew Morris
Chief Executive Officer
He began his teaching journey at Harlescott Junior School in Shrewsbury—a large school with over 380 pupils on roll. In 1996, he progressed to Deputy Headteacher at Belvidere Primary School, before taking on the role of Headteacher at Greenfields Primary School. During his impactful 18-year tenure at Greenfields, Andrew oversaw the successful development of its nursery and a major estate expansion that created over 100 new pupil spaces. He later completed his National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL) in 2020.
Beyond his immediate school roles, Andrew has worked closely with the wider education sector as a Local Leader of Education and System Leader. He also currently serves as Chair of Set 1 for the West Midlands RISE Communities of Practice.
In March 2017, the Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) was founded with Greenfields and Radbrook primary schools, quickly expanding to a third. Under Andrew’s leadership, the Trust has seen exceptional growth: The Haughmond Federation (Sundorne Infants and Harlescott Junior Schools) joined in 2024, doubling the MAT’s pupil population, followed by Short Wood Primary School in March 2026.
As CEO, Andrew is passionate about fostering a deeply collaborative environment, both within the Trust and with neighbouring schools and local authorities. He takes immense pride in the Trust’s outward-facing philosophy—always striving to improve practice through partnership.
Above all, Andrew is driven by a holistic approach to education, championing character education and awards programs that ensure non-academic achievements are just as valued as academic success.

Steph Peters
Deputy Chief Executive Officer
She is a highly motivated and experienced school leader who is looking forward to supporting the collaboration with all our academies and building on the excellent progress that Severn Bridges has made to date across our successful schools.
Steph is passionate about pupils all having opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills within all areas of life, as well as enhancing the inclusive practice within our schools to ensure all the needs of pupils are met to secure future success.

Georgia Newman
Chief Finance and Operations Officer
As former pupil, having attended Mount Pleasant Primary School, now part of the Trust, the role holds a special significance for her. She is looking forward to working for the community where her own educational journey began and is passionate about supporting schools to provide the best possible opportunities for children. She values collaboration, clear communication and building strong relationships across the Trust to help ensure every resource is used to maximise impact for pupils and staff.

Sara Thorpe
Trust Business Manager
She moved into education in 2012 when she joined Sundorne Infant School and Nursery in Shrewsbury in the new post of School Business Manager. Sara gained a wealth of experience developing the role, working within finance, HR, operations and premises management and all aspects of school business management.
In 2020, Sara moved to Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust as Trust Business Manager in the Central Team, working closely with the three schools within the Trust, before helping to on-board the two Haughmond schools when they joined the Multi-Academy Trust in 2024.

Rachel Etterley
HR Manager
Shortly after Rachel joined Radbrook Primary School as School Business Manager in 2016 it was announced that the school was developing a Multi-Academy Trust with Greenfields and Mount Pleasant Primary Schools, so she worked closely with the then CEO and other School Business Managers to set up and develop Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust. Since then, she has worked primarily for Radbrook but also in close contact with the other schools’ School Business Managers and the Multi-Academy Trust central team.
Keen to return to her HR roots, Rachel started a new central team role as HR and Governance Manager in September 2023, following a restructure of the Multi-Academy Trust’s operations and administrative services.

Janette Griffiths
Finance Officer
Following a Multi-Academy Trust central team restructure, Janette stepped into the role of Operations and Compliance Manager, successfully overseeing these critical functions across all Trust schools. In January 2026, as part of the ongoing development of the Severn Bridges central team, Janette transitioned into her current role as Finance Officer. In this position, she leverages her deep operational background and financial expertise to support and collaborate closely with schools across the entire Trust.

James Evans-Wilson
Facilities and Compliance Officer
James brings a diverse range of operational expertise to the Trust, having spent seven years at The Corbet School. During his tenure there, he progressed through various roles, ultimately serving as the IT and Facilities Manager. This dual-focus role allowed him to develop a deep understanding of both the technical infrastructure and the physical environment required to run a successful school, ensuring that both systems worked in tandem to support the learning environment. James remains closely connected to the school, continuing to contribute his expertise as a Trustee of The Corbet School.
While at The Corbet School, James focused on strengthening his professional leadership and safety expertise. He successfully completed the ILM Level 4 in Leadership & Management, providing him with a robust framework for managing teams and school functions. Additionally, he gained the IOSH Managing Safely qualification, which equips him with the essential skills to identify, evaluate, and control workplace risks across the school estate.
Following Severn Bridges’ central team development, James took on the role of Facilities and Compliance Officer. In this position, he uses his wealth of experience in estate management and technical oversight to manage these critical functions across the Trust’s schools. James ensures that every site remains safe, efficient and fully compliant with statutory regulations, providing a secure foundation for the Trust’s staff and pupils.

Governance Professional & Central Team Administration
Raj’s commitment and enthusiasm has been recognised over the years; In 2023 she was nominated to attend the NHS 75th Anniversary at Westminster Abbey, and be part of the NHS poster campaign. She was the winner of the 2020 Diversity and Inclusion Award and also received the 2024 Quality Improvement Award for Service Improvement and Redesign, which was also published on the West Midlands Evidence Repository.
Raj has always been keen to volunteer; spending time as an admin support volunteer with West Midlands Police when she was younger, and more recently, sparked by her interest in education, volunteering with forest schools and completing a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Raj joined Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust in November 2024 following a family move to Shropshire. She is enjoying her new role as Governance Professional for the trust, where she leads on governance effectiveness and compliance. Raj also supports the Central Team with a broad portfolio of work, including finance, HR, policy management, marketing, and publicity.
